Educational Entertainment Frontline Entertainment has been working with some of the areas leading school entertainment groups for years. The entertainers that perform for our children are the same entertainers that perform for the adults in venues all across Kansas City. While some school administrators may require certain messages or themes to be a part of the performance, other administrators are interested in exposing our children to different art forms, styles and ways of live and livelihood. Frontline Entertainment's desire is to provide quality entertainment in a variety of programs that suit the attention span of children, are content appropriate and deliver what the school administrators are yearning for...children's entertainment for a reason. Some examples of school entertainment are: measureXmeasure - "Get Vocal!" - this 5-piece modern "a cappella" group is based in Lawrence, KS, home of the University of Kansas. This group will provide master classes for middle, junior or high school programs. The group will perform for the students to demonstrate the topics that are discussed, and from time to time, students will be invited to aid in these demonstrations by performing for their peers. This program is intended to help build self-confidence in the students by challenging them to push the limits of their own voice, to shape new sounds that they've never tried, and to develop the poise to perform in a small ensemble in front of an audience. The available programs are:Musicianship - techniques for improving pitch, blend, balance and dynamics. Showmanship - stage presence, choreography, confidence building. Vocal Percussion - using the human voice to imitate other instruments. Songwriting/Arranging - lyrics, part writing, vocal arranging and improvising. Music Business - touring, recording, performing, music as a career. Jazz In The House - Frontline Entertainment can provide professional musicians to perform at school events and assemblies. These entertainers can perform jazz of all styles...bebop, mainstream, contemporary, etc. Then if the school would like, the musicians can handle a question and answer period concerning the music business.The Rogers Experience - This trio of brothers walk students through a host of styles of music ranging from traditional blues, to jazz, to hip-hop, to rock, to soul and Motown, to classical, to country. Interactivity is a trademark of this group's performance. Engaging the entire audience to pulling the teachers into the act. This is a fun experience for the students while teaching them different styles of music at the same time.Sticks Of Thunder - originally built for corporate conventions, this ensemble is the perfect marriage of traditional percussion instruments and day-to-day instruments of the street. This group can perform an explosive show that utilizes audience participation to create an experience that not many groups can create. They can be booked for assembly performances or can be utilized by the school's music department to inspire the percussion students. This ensemble has enjoyed "standing room only" performances at Kansas City's Union Station during 2001 and 2002.Frontline Entertainment has the desire to share its knowledge and experience with the youth of our area and beyond.
