Bryan Alford has been playing steel drums (pans) for over   10 years.  Bryan is a native of Kansas City and studied music    at Missouri Western State University.  

After falling in love with the steel drums, he received the opportunity to study with the inventor of the steel drums,    Ellie Mannette, who originates from Trinidad.  

Bryan has performed with various bands in Kansas City as a drummer as well as a steel drummer and is currently a cast member with “Sticks of Thunder”, the all percussion show that was featured at Union Station. 

Bryan can be heard as a solo steel drummer or with his band “Caribbean Steel”,  a two to five piece group playing a variety of music.  Bryan performs styles from soca, calypso and reggae to jazz and pop material.  

He has performed at the The Elms Resort, The Fairmont Hotel poolside,  Bartle Hall Convention Center, Overland Park Convention Center,  The Mango Room,  The Great Wolf Lodge and The Volleyball Beach plus countless benefits,  private parties and receptions.
